  • Agrarian spaces in Catalonia: A reality that have to be preserved [RAIMON RODA] Catalonia faces several challenges in which agrarian spaces and the activities associated to them have to play a fundamental role. Recently, we have assisted to the abandonement of rural zones and the growing pressure of the urban zones and its needs on the agrarian spaces. But agrarian zones have to be preserved because its value goes beyond its immediate economic value. Agrarian zones and peasant activities are worth preserving for ecological, cultural and natural reasons.
