  • The crisis of some, the aids of the others [LLUÍS MALLART] In this paper, the anthropologist, Lluís Mallart, criticizes the concepts and actions that are leading our solidary aid to Africa. In his view, we are treating Africa from an eurocentric point of view, considering its people as inferior, and trying to help them in a way that is only useful to us to have a clear conscience. Professor Mallart, then, shows us another side of Africa, in which its inhabitants don't refuse modernity and progress, but they want to assume them from the perspective of their own values and traditions.
