    • New challenges to liberal and democratic theories:

Justice and immigration [RICARD ZAPATA] This article examines basic guidelines of the analysis centred on immigrants' political accommodation. The main purpose of the author is to provide some elements that should orientate a larger reflection on a theory of justice dealing with the coexistence between citizens and immigrants. In the first section it is emphasised that immigration will be (it is, in fact) one of the most important structural problems of our liberal democratic States in this first decade of the xxith century. In the second section, Professor Zapata outlines the current political key issues around this topic. In the third section, and as a consequence of the previous one, he defends the need to construct a theory of justice incorporating immigration.
