Como crítica del artículo-diana de C. Escera (2004) "Aproximación histórica y conceptual a la Neurociencia Cognitiva", se aportan líneas argumentales para rebajar su pretensión de considerar la Neurociencia Cognitiva como el paradigma que fusiona y resuelve diversas tradiciones de investigación en la intersección mente/cerebro. La Neurociencia Cognitiva es una poderosa y excitante frontera de investigación que ha abierto nuevos senderos para explorar aquella intersección, contribuyendo así a estrechar vínculos entre las diferentes Neurociencias y la Psicologia. Lo cual es mucho, aunque no justifica en modo alguno un estatus privilegiado

As a critique of C. Escera (2004) target paper "Aproximación histórica y conceptual a la Neurociencia Cognitiva", several points are accrued to diminish his claim to consider Cognitive Neuroscience as the paradigm that will definitevely collect and resolve longlasting traditions of research at the mind/brain intersection. Cognitive Neuroscience is a powerful and exciting program of research that has opened new paths to explore the aforementioned intersection, contributing in this way to bridge the gap between mainstream Neurosciences and Psychology. This is enough in itself indeed without any need to demand particular status.
