  • Mobility requirements in the broadband telecommunication area, and the opportunity to exploit new markets for satellite systems, have stimulated the development of innovative network solutions in new utilization contexts. Thanks to the main European institutions, Alcatel Alenia Space has been working in this area for several years, developing new technologies, products and solutions in the fields of mobile and broadband satellite services. The keen interest of railway and aircraft operators in offering added value to their passengers means that what has so far been an R&D activity can now be commercialized.
