El texto de la conferencia de Javier Echeverría indaga en el origen de la revolución tecnocientífica, como el proceso de cambio en la estructura del hacer práctico de la actividad científica que da por resultado la hibridación entre la ciencia y la tecnología. El autor no sólo propone una definición conceptual sino que explora en los objetivos, ejemplos históricos y evolución en el paso de la tutela del Estado hacia la ciencia, a la llegada de la inversión privada y la competitividad mercantil, produciendo con esto la necesidad de que existan códigos jurídicos para su regulación, pero, sobre todo, una mayor importancia en la relación tecnociencia-sociedad.

The text of the conference given by Javier Echeverría examines the origin of the technoscientific revolution as a process of change in terms of the use of science rather than scientific knowledge itself. The author not only proposes a conceptual definition of technoscience, but also explores the objectives, historical examples, and the evolution of the role of the state in this process. That is, the technoscientific revolution began in the state and the military, and then it spread to the private business sector which resulted in the need for government regulation and policy. Finally, the author argues that the technoscientific revolution has taken on a much greater importance because it has now widened to the general society.
