Resumen de La crisis brasileña de enero de 1999 y los impactos sobre la convertibilidad argentina

  En el escrito se analizan los impactos que son de esperar sobre la convertibilidad y la economía argentina de la reciente crisis de Brasil, que se dispara a partir del 13 de enero de 1999 cuando la autoridad monetaria decide primero alterar la pauta devaluatoria para su moneda, el Real, y luego (dos días después) la flotación. El trabajo explora un conjunto de cuestiones relevantes que la situación actual plantea, y donde las respuestas de los autores muestran, en general, la calidad de la construcción institucional elaborada para estabilizar la moneda argentina, esto es, la convertibilidad, y no favorecen los puntos de vista críticos que sostienen la necesidad de "cambiar el modelo".

  The paper analyses the impacts that are possible of occur over the convertibility and the Argentina’s’ economy after the Brazil’ crisis, that begin the 13 January of 1999 when the monetary authority decides first to change the devaluation paths for their money, the Real, and after (two days after) to float. The work explore a set of relevant questions that the situation presents, and where the authors’ answers shows the quality of the institutional build elaborated for to stabilizate the argentine’money, the convertibility, and disagreed with the critical points of view that claim the necessity of "to change the model".

  In diesem Beitrag werden die zu erwartenden Auswirkungen der die jüngsten Wirtschaftskrise Brasliens auf die Konvertibilität und die argentinische Wirtschaft analysiert. Diese Krise wurde am 13. Januar durch die Entscheidung der Währungsautorität ausgelöst, zunächst die Abwertungsnorm für die brasilianische Währung, den Real, zu verändern und zwei Tage später das Floating einzusetzten. Die Arbeit untersucht eine Reihe von relevanten Problemen, die die aktuelle Situation aufwirft. Im allgemeinen stellt sich dabei die Qualität der institutionellen Konstruktion heraus, die zur Stabilisierung der argentinischen Währung erarbeitet worden ist, das heisst, die Konvertibilität, und die kritische Forderung eines "Wechsel del Modells" kann als unnötig abgewiesen werden.
