    En este artículo afrontamos la segunda parte de nuestra investigación sobre la etnografía histórica de Losar de la Vera; la primera apareció publicada en Estudios Extremeños , 2004 (II), y en ella analizábamos los supuestos teóricos del estudio y la evolución histórico-cultural de Losar. En éste, siempre desde una perspectiva diacrónica, indagamos en el proceso genético de la configuración urbana en su estrecha relación con el mundo circundante, al igual que en las formas tradicionales de subsistencia.

    Es nuestro interés cerrar la investigación etnohistórica analizando el año astronómico y el ciclo de la vida en su relación con los sistemas de creencias. Con la cultura simbólica, en su dependencia de la material, daremos por finalizado el estudio sobre este pueblo del norte de la provincia de Cáceres.

    n this article we are dealing with the second part of our research on the historical ethnography of Losar de la Vera. The first part was published in the second volume of the year 2004 and in it we analyzed the theoretical components of the study and the historical and cultural evolution of the town. In this one (always from a diachronic perspective) we are delving into the urban structure and its close relation with its surroundings, as well as into the traditional means of sustenance.

    It is our aim to close this ethohistorical research by analyzing the astro- nomical year and the life cycle and its connection with the belief systems. With the symbolical culture and its material dependence, we will consider as finished this study on this town located in the north of the Spanish Province of Cáceres.
