    El presente artículo es un resumen de una investigación cuyo objeto es profundizar en el conocimiento de los europeos que llegan a Lanzarote durante el siglo XVII. Nos interesa conocer con cierta exactitud cuál es su volumen y estudiar su procedencia relacionando esto con la política europea del momento. A continuación, trataremos de estudiar sus actividades profesionales como medio de explicar los motivos para estar en la isla y sus influencias en la economía lanzaroteña; su integración en dicha sociedad y sus ideas no sólo acerca de su profesión sino también religiosas e ideológicas.

    Foreigners on Lanzarote in the 17th century (1625-1700) The present article is a summary of an investigation whose purpose is the knowledge about the europeans who arrived to Lanzarote in the seventeenth century. The goal of this paper is to explain with accurateness their magnitude and analyze their origin, connecting these data with the European international policy of the age. After this, it is my purpose to study their professional activities and their influence in the local economy; their integration in the society of the island and their ideas not only about their professional activity but also their religious and ideological tendencies.
