En el presente artículo, el autor se centra en el proceso de la integración y en los aspectos de la política de integración de los inmigrantes. Define primero la integración como concepto general y formal, articulándolo luego en el ámbito específico de los procesos migratorios y añadiéndole finalmente el elemento normativo. Distingue, a lo largo del artículo, cuatro dimensiones de integración: la estructural, la cultural, la social y la identificadora, profundizando en cada una de ellas en relación a la situación alemana y a sus políticas vigentes.

In this article the author deals with the process of integration and with aspects of the integration policy related to immigrants. He begins by defining formally the concept of integration, connecting it afterward specifically with the processes of integration and adding to it the normative aspect. Throughout the article, he distinguishes four dimensions related to integration: the structural, the cultural, the social and the identificatorial dimensions dealing with each on lenght in connection with the situation and the policies of integration in present day Germany.
