Purgación y locura en la tragedia griega

    En este artículo intento tratar la cuestión del φαρμακός en un principio, relacionándolo a continuación con el papel que pudiera tener en los tres trágicos, tanto en lo que respecta a la estructura general de la tragedia como a las diferencias entre los autores, así como de las consecuencias sociales que para alguno de ellos supuso la representación de esta cuestión en sus tragedias. Me ocupo también de relacionar estas tragedias con el momento histórico ambiental que se vivía en esos tiempos respecto a las ganadas Guerras Médicas y a la Guerra del Peloponeso que estaba ya cerca de estallar. También trato acerca de Platón en lo que respecta a su visión terapéutica del φαρμακός, sobre todo respecto al sueño.

    I try to deal in this article with the question of the φαρμακός to begin with, and I relate it afterwards with the role it coud have in the three tragics, with respect to the general structure of tragedy and the differences between authors, and also to the social consequences which the representation of this question in their tragedies could have for someone of them. I deal also with the relationship between these tragedies and the environmental historical moment that was dominant in those times with respect to the won Persian Wars and to the Peloponnesian War which was about to explode. I deal also with Plato with respect to his therapeutical vision of the φαρμακός, especially with respect to sleep.
