    What is shifting in the American Journalist with the new technologies and the Internet? Have these changed U.S. journalism and the way that journalists think about their work? "Some, but not yet" says the author in a first quick answer. But the signs of deeper changes are coming from different angles. The forms of newsrooms adaptation to the information seeking and reliability checking through Internet, the imbalance between the huge amount of information and the declining quality of news provided, and the relationship between new information options and the guidance needs of the public are some of the challenges observed. Previously, the author compares the U.S. journalist portrait with the ones of different countries and analyzes the evolution of their differences and similarities as they have arisen from different national and international surveys.

    ¿Le journalisme américain a changé avec les nouvelles technologies et Internet? ¿Ont celles-ci changé le journalisme de l¿ USA ou la manière comment les journalistes pensent leur travail? "Quelques choses, mais pas du tout", répond l¿auteur d¿abord dans une réponse rapide. Mais les signes des changements profonds arrivent dès divers angles. La forme avec laquelle les rédactions adaptent la recherche de l¿information et la comprobation de sa fiabilité à travers Internet, l¿équilibre entre l¿énorme quantité d¿information et le déclin de sa qualité, la rélation entre les nouvelles options d¿information et les besoins du public que constituent la guide, sont plusieurs des problèmes observés. L¿auteur a précédement comparé le portrait du journaliste nord-américain avec ceux des différents pays et analysé l¿évolution de leurs différences et similitudes que résultent dans les différents enquêtes nationales et internationales.
