La creciente despoblación de numerosos municipios aragoneses y el abandono de las formas de vida tradicionales, han hecho crecer el interés de instituciones, asociaciones culturales, municipios y particulares hacia la conservación y conocimiento de la cultura material que caracterizaba los distintos paisajes de esta Comunidad Autónoma.
La provincia de Huesca fue la primera en sensibilizarse del peligro que entrañaba el éxodo rural y la homogenización tecnológica. Sus museos y exposiciones permanentes tratan, sobre todo, de captar globalmente el modo de vida en los diversos valles y comarcas oscenses. Desde hace algunos años, el Gobierno Aragonés impulsa la creación de muestras permanentes monográficas para establecer una red territorial y, en esa línea, las provincias de Teruel y Zaragoza promueven la creación de museos locales temáticos, que completan el carácter generalista de las Secciones Etnológicas existentes en los respectivos Museos provinciales de sus capitales

The reduction of the rural population in great Aragón villages and the leave of the traditionals way of life have developped the conscious and the interest of the institutions, cultural associations, villages and particular people towards the conservation and knowledge of the material cultural which has caracterized the different countries of this Aragón Comunity.
The province of Huesca was the first one adquiring the sensibilation of the danger that suppose the rural exode and tecnologic homogeneization their Museums and permanent exhibitions try to reflect the way of life of the different valléis and countries of Huesca. Since some years, the Aragonés Goverment has impulsed the creation of permanent monographic exhibitions with the finality to built a territorial net , and, in this line, the provinces of Teruel and Zaragoza promoting the creation thematic of local Museums, which are completing a general view of the Ethnologic Sections, which exist in respectives Provincials Museums of their cities.
