Se analiza la situación demográfica, social y económica del municipio asturiano de Carreño a partir de la inédita topografía médica de 1919, obra de José de Villalain, uno de los médicos que mejor conocían el estado sanitario del Principado en el primer tercio del siglo XX, como prueban sus ocho geografías médicas sobre otros tantos municipios asturianos.

This analyzes the demographic, social and economic situation of the Asturian township of Carreño based on the unpublished 1919 medical topography written by José de Villalain, one of the most knowledgeable doctors on the subject of health conditions in the Principality of Asturias in the early third of the twentieth century, as shown his eight medical geographies on eight other Asturian townships.

La situation démographique, sociale et économique de la municipalité de Carreño (Asturias) est analysée à partir du rapport sanitaire inédit de 1919 écrit par José de Villalain. Celui-ci fut l'un des médecins qui connaissait mieux l'état sanitaire du Pincipauté des Asturias, durant le premier tiers du XX siècle. Les huit cartes sanitaires relatives à d'autres municipalités de cette région qu'il établit, sont la preuve de cette affirmation.
