  • This essay is intended as a criticism to Donna Haraway's approach, one of the most influential on feminist philosophy and cultural debates in the United States. It first explains her main points: (i) a defense of standpoint epistemology, according to which knowledge is always situated; (ii) a proposal of a postmodemist ontology, according to which there is no subjectivity, no personal identity through time; and (iii) a description of the political strategy that would help to develop emancipatory actions in society, according to which negotiations are not to be grounded on the existence of a bond among women based on the notion of gender. The article attempts to show that these three theses are contradictory
