Our purpose in this concise analysis is to discourse in detail on the possible existence of two traditions in the fourth century Roman Paganism. Accepted the insufficiency of the epigraphy per se to confirm this hypothesis, we'll try a more direct approximation to this problem examining the positions of its more important protagonistes.
