Resumen de La creación de una divisa: el príncipe Felipe, Gaspar de Vega y el Monasterio de San Felipe el Real de Madrid

El estudio que ahora nos ocupa es el resultado del hallazgo del dibujo de una divisa que, junto con otras noticias que hemos podido reunir, hacen referencia a la creación y desarrollo del convento de San Felipe el Real de Madrid. En la documentación manejada aparecen vinculados con el proyecto constructivo, por una parte la figura del Príncipe Felipe como patrocinador y el prior Fray Alonso de Madrid como cliente y usuario y por otra parte Gaspar de Vega como responsable de su edificación. Este proceso nos ha ilustrado, en una fecha temprana, acerca de la preocupación del futuro Rey por la arquitectura, que fue una constante a lo largo de su existencia: también nos ha servido para aclarar hasta que punto y en que momento comenzaron las relaciones entre este maestro real y Felipe II, y por último nos ha permitido identificar y datar el dibujo de la anónima divisa.

The present article is the product of the find of a drawing of a device that joined to other references make allusion to the creation and development of the convent of San Felipe el Real in Madrid. In these documents we find, in one hand, the character of Prince Felipe as the promote and the prior Fray Alonso de Madrid as the client, and on the other hand, Gaspar de Vega as the responsible of the construction. This fact tells us about the interest of the future King in architecture. This interest was present during all his life. All that has informed us when the relationship between Felipe II and the royal master began. And finally, these notes have permitied to identify and date the drawing of the anonymous device.
