    Roma inicia en el Noroeste hispánico, tras la ocupación del territorio, la explotación masiva de su riqueza minera. La necesidad de oro se convierte en motor que impulsa una economía basada en el metal precioso. Las diversas técnicas de explotación minera junto a las principales referencias historiográficas recogidas en este artículo, suponen (a lo largo de los siglos I y III d.n.e., principalmente, cuando se produce el auge de las explotaciones) una importante alteración del entorno económico y constituyen, en suma, la inclusión de los colectivos indígenas en el marco de un nuevo orden político configurado a partir del emperador Augusto

    After the occupation of the territory, Rome begins the massive exploitation of its mining abundance in the Hispanic northwest. The need of gold becomes the engine which impels an economy based on the precious metal. The diverse mining techniques together with the main historiographic references collected in this article, mean (along the first and third century of our age, mainly when the peak of the explotations takes place) an important alteration of the economic environment and build up, in short, the inclusion of the indigenous communities in the framework of a new configured politic al order, starting from the emperor Augustus on.
