    Tratamos la lingüística del texto como una disciplina de síntesis. Es por ello por lo que exponemos una serie de cuestiones epistemológicas y nos detenemos en el significado del término texto. Hacemos una exposición breve de las propiedades textuales, pero es en la denominada coherencia o cohesión lógicosemántica donde empleamos más tinta. El tratamiento que damos a este centro del articulo bascula entre dos polos: mecanismos lingüísticos que conforman dicha coherencia, y mecanismos no lingüísticos generadores de coherencia / cohesión: recursos pragmáticos.

    We consider linguistics of the text as a discipline of synthesis. This is the reason for our raising a series of epistemological questions and we stop with the meaning of the word text. We make a brief exhibition of the properties of the text, but it is in the so called logical-semantic coherence or cohesion where we put most emphasis. The treatment given to the centre of the article balances between two poles: linguis-tic mechanisms which make up the mentioned coherence and non linguistic mechanisms coherence/cohesion generators: pragmatic resources.
