One of the subjects that in the historical-genealogical field expresses doubts is whether some of the people living in Buenos Aires had honourableness and nobility status and in this last case, if they belonged to the so called titled nobility, in the concept of the social category granted by the King of Spain to part of those who formed the social elite in America during the XVIII century. Some of the positive acts filed by the neighbours who were established in that city are analyzed in the present work; also their certifications of purity of blood and performance of honourableness. Besides, the requests carried out to the "Cabildo Porteño" were originated in the descendants of the first settlers to be able to obtain the certifications of services that authorized them obtaining honourableness of privilege".
