Se ha detectado una recurrencia de doce "años túnicos" para algunos acontecimientos registrados en las inscripciones de Chichén Itzá. Estos acontecimientos -que muy probablemente son de clase "no-dedicatoria"- han de haber tenido importancia para la historia del Clásico Terminal de Chichén Itzá. Sin embargo, no se ha comprendido bien todavía la naturaleza exacta y el significado de su recurrencia.

A recurrence of twelve ¿tun-years¿ for some registered events in the inscriptions of Chichén Itzá has been detected. These events -which very probably are of a ¿non-dedicatory¿ kind- must have been of some importance for the history of Terminal Classic Chichén Itzá. However, their precise nature and the meaning of their recurrence are not well understood yet
