Las últimas investigaciones documentales pueden aportar novedades sobre los viajes científicos de G. Dupaix y sobre su figura. En este trabajo se presentan unas ilustraciones recientemente descubiertas en el Museo Naval y en la Biblioteca Nacional, en Madrid, referentes a dichas expediciones. Estas ilustraciones se comparan con las series de dibujos de J.L. Castañeda y con las ilustraciones de Delaporte, Vitasse o Engelmann incluídas en las ediciones de París y Londres.

Recent research on some documentary sections may shed new light on the scientific travels of G. Dupaix as well as on his persona. In this paper, some illustrations recently discovered at both the Naval Museum and the National Library (Madrid) are presented, along with a descriptive text about the itinerary of Dupaix's first expedition. Finally, such illustrations are compared to the drawing series by J.L. Castañeda and the illustrations by Delaporte, Vitasse, or Engelmann, included in the London and Paris editions.
