    The Nicaraguan nation-state is still under construction on various aspects. The difficult organization of its territories can be explained not only by the tensions which extend across Nicaragua but also and most oftenly by the Central American isthmus. Thus, the differences between the Pacific coast territories and the Atlantic coast territories unceasingly strengthen themselves, disserving the Amerindian populations. They also question the ability of Nicaragua to become integrated into the current territorial recomposing on a continental scale.

    L' Etat-nation nicaraguayen se révèle par de nombreux aspects, encore en construction. La difficile organisation de ses territoires s 'explique par les tensions qui traversent le Nicaragua, mais aussi de plus en plus l'isthme centraméricain. Les différences entre les territoires de la façade pacifique et ceux de la façade atlantique ne cessent ainsi de se renforcer, au détriment des populations amérindiennes. Elles interrogent aussi les capacités d'insertion du Nicaragua dans les recompositions territoriales en cours à l'échelle continentale.
