  The induction of galls by the cecidomyiid fly Asphondylia trabutii (Asphondyliini, Cecidomyiidae) is cited for the first time in the fruits of Solanum nigrum (Solanaceae). We examine the natural history of this interaction and we also cite, for the first time in the Balearic Islands, the presence of Cyrtoptix sp. (Pteromalidae), a parasitoid wasp of the fly.

  En el present treball es cita per primera vegada la producció de gal·les en els fruits del pebre d'ase, Solanum nigrum (Solanaceae), induldes pel cecidomid Asphondylia trabutii (Asphondyliini, Cecidomyiidae). S'examina la historia natural d'aquesta interacció, i també es cita per primer cop a les Balears la presencia de eyrtoptix sp. (Pteromalidae), una vespa parasitoid del cecidomid en qüestió.
