En este trabajo se aborda el papel de la ciudad como agente educativo. Nuestro objetivo se ha centrado en descubrir si las ciudades asturianas que asumen explícitamente esta función, actúan en su práctica como verdaderos agentes educadores. Las páginas Web oficiales de sus respectivos ayuntamientos han sido la fuente básica de información, al considerar que en ella recogen aquellas acciones que emprenden y que perciben como más importantes o novedosas. Su conjunción con el análisis de la documentación relativa a esta temática, revela que ejercitar una función educadora implica una mayor intervención en ámbitos que sin su mediación podrían quedar desatendidos.

This report presents an investigation about the city as an educative agent. Our objective attempts to know if the cities that asume this function, they are educating cities in practice. City hall ' s webs had been the basic so urce of information, beca use we considere that they contain, the most important accions, that they do. Its conjunction with other documents about this theme, reveals that city's administration should working in another scopes because the human necessities could be neglected.
