    Se presenta una serie de 161 casos de síndrome subacromial tratados quirúrgicamente mediante acromioplastia abierta. Los resultados del tratamiento son buenos normalmente. Se analizan los diversos factores quirúrgicos que han influido en la calidad de los resultados. Los autores observan que el tamaño del desgarro puede influir de forma clara en la evolución de los pacientes. También influye en el resultado la resección de la parte externa de la clavícula y la rehabilitación precoz tras el tratamiento quirúrgico.

    A series of 161 cases of shoulder impingement syndrome treated surgically by means of open acromíoplasty is presented. The results of this treatment are good generally.

    There are analyzed the díverse surgical factors that have infiuenced the quality of the results. The authors observe that the size of the tear of the rotator cuff can influence clearly in the evolution of the patients. Also it influences the result the excisión of the distal part of the clavicle and the early physiotherapy after the surgícal treatment.
