La finalitat d'aquest article és la de presentar els resultats d'un estudi sobre l'adquisició de les interrogatives qu per part de nens monolingües catalans i bilingües (català-castellà) des dels estadis preverbals fins als tres anys. Prenent com a punt de partida els estudis publicats sobre l'adquisició de les preguntes wh en anglès, les autores demostren que hi ha un gran paral.lelisme entre l'adquisició de la interrogativa en anglès i en català-castellà, ja que en ambdós casos els nens passen per tres estadis diferenciats. L'anàlisi que les autores proposen per a aquests tres estadis s'emmarca dins la teoria generativista dels Principis i Paràmetres i dintre de la teoria que explica el procés d'adquisició d'una llengua com a resultat de la maduració de les categories funcionals.

The main aim of this article is to present the results of a study on the acquisition of wh-questions by monolingual Catalan and bilingual Catalan-Spanish speaking-children from the preverbal stages to the age of three years. Starting from the published studies on the acquisition of wh-questions in English, the authors show that there exists a great parallelism between the acquisition process of wh-questions in English and Catalan/Spanish, for in both cases children go through three different stages. The analysis that we propose is based on the Principles and Parameters model of generative theory and on the theory of acquisition that explains the process of acquisition of a language as a result of the maturation of functional categories.
