Resumen de O acompanhamento arqueológico de obras: uma intervenção muito própria

The article analyzes the problematic one of the "archaeological accompaniment" of the workmanships, understood as a type of specific archaeological intervention endowed with proper methodology. On the basis of the experience of the Cabinet of Urban Archaeology of the C. M. Porto, indicates the paper of the "accompaniment" in the evaluation process or safeguards of archaeological vestiges, exemplifying with the methodology used in the accompaniment of extensive workmanships. Reflects on the responsibilities of the archaeologists and others technician in these shares save of the cultural heritage of archaeological matrix.

O artigo analisa a problemática do "acompanhamento arqueológico" das obras, entendido como um tipo de intervenção arqueológica específica dotada de metodologia própria. Com base na experiência do Gabinete de Arqueologia Urbana da C. M. Porto, indica-se o papel do "acompanhamento" no processo de avaliação ou salvaguarda de vestígios arqueológicos, exemplificando-se com a metodologia empregue no acompanhamento de obras extensivas. Reflecte-se sobre as responsabilidades dos arqueólogos e de outros técnicos nestas acções de salvaguarda do património cultural de matriz arqueológica.
