Resumen de Imágenes de la televisión en el cine español de los Sesenta: fragmentos de una historia de la representación

Valeria Camporesi

  • The article analyses how six Spanish films produced between 1961 and 1972 portrayed television and its social uses during the period in which the new technology had its initial impact on Spanish society. As a provisional conclusion, it argues that films, conceptualized as “hypermedia”, not only offered a model for understanding television which was consistent with the experience which society had of the medium, and with the image of society which the medium constructed, but also built up changing narrative and aesthetic patterns around television which reveal significant fragments of a wider cultural history of mass culture.
