  • In order to render the most faithful version of an original film as possible, technical information on the various procedures used in its manufacture, the type of dyes used, the way it was perforated, the number of copies made, etc., is fundamental. The musical Frivolinas (A. Carballo, 1927), presented at the 1999 FIAF Conference in Madrid , is a specific example of how this abstract information is relevant for film restoration.
