  • This article takes an overall look at how film was manufactured and used in Japan during the early years of cinema, especially during the transition from black and white to color film. The two main manufacturers (Fuji and Konishiroku) serve as examples for outlining the characteristics and abstract developments of film made in the Japanese industry
