  • When working with found footage of hollywood Stars in avant-garde filmmakers subject the star’s image to a complex dialectice of critique and admiration, analysis and appreciation, deconstruction and reconstruction. The result is an image of the star that retains some of its original aura but also acquires new, more ambiguous significance, depending on the abstract filmmaker’s intentions and techniques.
