Resumen de Indexes of applicattion in recent agglutinated foraminiferida typicity index and mathematical models of the distribution West Mediterranean Sea

M. C. Sánchez Ariza, Vicente Javier Prieto Bocanegra

  • Theoretical distribution curves are determined in recent agglutinated foraminifera found in the littoral zone Motril-Nerja, Spain, using the depth as variable.

The curve formulas are defined as fourth degree polynomes and the fitness degree is given in each species.

Eight agglutinated species were found. Typicity index is given to determine the character of the distribution of each species of recent agglutinated foraminifera with the total of recent species of foraminifera of the zone and with the distribution of the total of agglutinated species. Other indexes are: the number of species. S (Margalef, 1974); the diversity index, H (based of he index of Shannon, 1948); the equitability index, E (Buzas & Gibson, 1969); the constant index, C (Dajoz, 1974); the abundance index, A (Dajoz, 1974) and the distance index, dik (Sánchez Ariza, 1983), standardized between 0 and 1.

The values of these indexes determine the relationships between each two species and among different species of agglutinated foraminifera.

Some differences between the total benthic foraminifera and agglutinated foraminifera indexes values found, make us think they have different distribution patterns.
