    Existen numerosas y diversas opiniones sobre los tatuajes. Sin embargo, hay que saber que, aunque son un adorno estético que comenzó a partir del siglo XX con la patente de la primera máquina de tatuar, su historia se remonta a las prehistoria y antiguas civilizaciones. Los dibujos eran distintos y los motivos de hacerlos también lo eran. Es importante conocer los significados de los tatuajes del pasado para entender esa visión que se tiene hoy en día de los mismos.
