Durante este artículo el autor explica cómo COU a pesar de ser uno de los cursos más temidos por los estudiantes supone el curso más importa de toda la etapa escolar debido a que el alumnado ha de elegir qué asignaturas estudiar. Además, COU da a los alumnos el impulso definitivo para dar el salto entre la adolescencia y la siguiente etapa.
Sin embargo, si el Gobierno decide eliminar COU una de las consecuencias más significativas sería que cada universidad realizaría sus pruebas de admisión. De forma que estas podrían ser subjetivas para determinar el colectivo de alumnos que estudiarán allí.

During this article the author explains how COU, despite being one of the most feared courses by students, means the most important course of the entire school stage because students have to choose which subjects to study. In addition, COU gives students the definitive impulse to make the leap between adolescence and the next stage.
However, if the government decides to eliminate COU one of the most significant consequences would be that each university would take its admissions tests. So that these could be subjective to determine the group of students who will study there.
