Resumen de El léxico del instrumental quirúrgico en las versiones latinas renacentistas de Pablo de Egina
The aim of this paper is to study and compare the terminology for surgical instruments employed in four Renaissance Latin translations of Paulus of Egina's Liber VI De re medica (the one devoted to Surgery). We analyze how the four interpreters (O. B. Feliciano, A. Thorer, J. Guenther von Andemach and J. Cornario) searched for Latin words to translate Paulus' numerous and varied names for surgeon's tools.
