  • The fundamental hypothesis of this study reads as follows: There are three modes of thinking in the work of Hesiodus. 1. An overly technical and practical thought, which takes the form of an instrument or a practical plan that may be viewed as the expression of a certain cunning. 2. Omologia: a thought which predicts the evolution of life itself without being an oracle, however. 3. The rationalistic thought. The dialectical content of the technical and the rationalistic thought excludes the possibility of an absolute authority and power.
