Resumen de P. Oxy. 2454 (Trgf adesp. 653): cuestiones de datación, género y autoría

Juan Luis López Cruces

  • The attribution of the papyrus play to Aeschylus has been rightly ruled out 00 the basis of linguistie, metrie, and religinus factors. The presence of athletic contests in the catalogue of the labours of Heracles also point to a postFuripidean date. The noun á0~iiti~ and the adjective y~yeveatepov -which needs not be corrupt- may imply the presence of comie elements in the play. Therefore, the authorship of Diogenes the Cynic should be taken unto account, as he is credited to have written tragedies which include comie traits
