  • Francesc Pujols is still alive. This thinker continues to influence generations of Catalans. Perhaps because he searched for truth, found it, and everyone wants to see it. But Pujols was not only a writer, philosopher, journalist, observer, inventor of the Catalan religion, humorist, collector of anecdotes, bon vivant... Pujols is the physical and psychic metaphor of Catalonia: the light and the dark, the reality and the dream, the duality of the tight-wire walker who has only one path. Pujols is one of the first professionals of illusion in the service of a country. The Catalonia of the first third of the twentieth century cannot be explained without the life and work of this character. And perhaps the twenty-first century will not be able to do without him either.
