    La patología del hombro es una de las causas más frecuentes de visita a la consulta del ortopedista general y de aquella, la patología del manguito de los rotadores ocupa el primer lugar. Teniendo en cuenta el crecimiento exponencial que ha experimentado nuestra subespecialidad y aprovechando el marco de la VI Bienal de Hombro y Codo de la SCCOT, nuestro Capítulo, que tengo el honor de presidir, ha querido entregar, a manera de suplemento, una actualización con las temáticas más relevantes acerca de esta patología.

    Shoulder pathology is one of the most common reasons for visits to general orthopedists, with rotator cuff pathology ranking first among these conditions. Given the exponential growth our subspecialty has experienced and taking advantage of the framework of the 6th SCCOT Shoulder and Elbow Biennial, our Chapter, which I have the honor of chairing, wanted to provide, as a supplement, an update on the most relevant topics related to this pathology.
