It is believed that of all the activities that it presents in a human being, it is perhaps the writing that presents models of broad and complex dimensions, because for that, aspects of the human psyche are involved and therefore they participate in the learning process. According to Portellano (1993) writing is a very complex process of codification and specific decoding of the human being. The objective of the present study is to establish the influence of executive functions on cognitive regulation in children of second year of general basic education, who present dysgraphia. Methodology: Quantitative, prospective analytical and cross-sectional study, with a universe and sample of two groups of children of 30 each, that present the same characteristics in age, gender, year of basic, cases and controls, methods and instruments for collection of data, tabulation plan and analysis. The executive functions are those mental activities complex and at the same time necessary that the human being has and that serves to organize, regulate, review and evaluate the academic performance, social skills, social interaction, levels of affectivity, among others, skills that will allow the Child to adapt to the surrounding world and achieve an acceptable level of maturity of the central nervous system. (Bauermeister, 2008). In children, executive functions intervene in the entire educational process, but their influence is more on reading, writing and calculation, when there is not a good level of development, in the learning process of writing will generate difficulties and, as a result, it will produce " bad letter "or dysgraphia. It is known in the same way that psychological processes are structured in the frontal lobe, and next to it there are nervous interconnections that facilitate the learning process, but when there is not an adequate level of "neuronal maturity" the learning of writing will be affected. Therefore, it is understood that dysgraphia is a difficulty in writing when a correct coordination between the muscles of the hand and the arm has not been achieved, which will prevent him from mastering and directing the pencil to write in a legible, orderly way and sequentially; It is important to mention that this difficulty in some cases occurs at early ages is frequent and not related to severe neurological damage.
