  • This study presents the archaeozoological and taphonomic analysis of the faunal remains recovered from Department 1 of El Castellar (Casinos, Valencia), an Iberian hillfort dated between the 5th and 2st centuries BC. Its aim is to investigate the site’s cultural and economic interactions in order to reconstruct its economic model and to compare it with current interpretations of the Iberian world.
