  • Resumen
    • The mitigation of global warming is one of the main challenges of society.

Currently, the construction sector has clear objectives related to energy saving and sustainable development. Buildings are often inefficient and design strategies must be used to resolve this issue. Thus, sustainable architecture and efficient design can be an opportunity to ensure a lower impact of buildings.

At this point, climate change can have a major impact on the effectiveness of design strategies. Thus, the climate of every region in the current scenario and in future ones was analyzed to find out how climate change would affect the performance of the built environment.

In conclusion, since Italy is characterized by a heterogeneous climate, global warming would affect both cold and hot regions and would radically transform the performance of the build environment
