    Al inicio de su segundo mandato, Donald Trump ha demostrado una voluntad imperial que recuerda los peores momentos de la Doctrina Monroe. Esto augura que, nuevamente, Cuba será sometida al axioma de Tucídides: Estados Unidos hará lo que puede y quiere, y los cubanos no tendrán más remedio que sufrir. Sin embargo, sería un error volver a subestimar su capacidad de resistencia.

    In the first weeks of his second term, Donald Trump demonstrated an imperial will that recalls the worst moments of the Monroe Doctrine. This augurs that, once again, Cuba will be subjected to Thucydides Trap: The United States will do whatever it wants and can do, and Cubans will have no choice but to suffer. However, it would be a mistake to underestimate again the possibilities of resistance of the Cubans. Ten U.S. administrations have already gone through that; Trump’s first one is one of them.
