    El presente trabajo tiene como propósito estudiar el cargo de platero en la Catedral de Toledo durante el siglo XVII. La abundante documentación conservada en el Archivo Capitular, inédita en su mayoría, permitirá abordar un estudio íntegro destinado a dar respuesta a las incógnitas sobre las vías de acceso, las funciones desempeñadas o los honorarios recibidos, entre otras, además de sacar a la luz el listado de artistas que ostentaron dicho cargo a lo largo de la citada caricatura.

    The objective of this work is to study the position of the official silversmith in the Cathedral of Toledo during the 17th century. The abundant documentation preserved in the Chapter Archive, most of it unpublished, allows us to undertake an exhaustive study aimed at answering the unknowns about the access routes, the functions performed or the fees received, among others. In addition, it is possible to know the list of artists who held this position throughout the 17th century.
