  Lo que aquí presentamos es simplemente un resumen de dos largos poemas dramáticos de George (Jorge) Santayana, escritos en un inglés arcaico que concuerda con el tema y la época. Un ermitaño recibe la visita fortuita de un caballero que resulta ser su hermano menor. Si bien, por medio de sus conversaciones, el anacoreta descubre la identidad del caballero, este nunca sabrá quién es su interlocutor. El hermano mayor está expiando sus pecados, y el menor, después de cinco años de batallar, vuelve al lugar donde le espera la que será su esposa.

  What we present here is simply a summary of two long dramatic poems by George Santayana, written in an archaic English that suits the theme and the period. A hermit receives a chance visit from a knight who turns out to be his younger brother. Although, through their conversations, the hermit discovers the knight's identity, the latter will never know who his interlocutor is. The elder brother is atoning for his sins, and the younger, after five years of struggle, returns tho the place where his future wife awaits him.
