  • Resumen
    • The essay explores one of the lesser-known chapters of Laszlo Moholy-Nagy's artistic research: color photography. A shrewd and sensitive experimenter, the Hungarian artist was the first to recognize the importance of fully investigating the question of color and its artistic use in photography. Starting in the 1930s, first in London, then in Amsterdam and Chicago, the essay analyses Moholy-Nagy's most significant theoretical contributions without ever losing sight of the color photographs he created from 1934 to 1946. This is the only feasible approach, because for Moholy-Nagy, theory and praxis always went hand in hand, following the principle of practical thinking that led to the New Vision.
