  • Resumen
    • Faculty spend significant time writing homework solutions that students rarely access. For example, data from the university’s course management site indicates that even with prompting, about one-third of students never access them, about one-third access them either the night before or the morning of an exam, and about one-third access them “immediately,” as they should. In this manuscript, I summarize my observations after requiring students to self-assess their homework. I have done this in upper and lower division courses for majors and nonmajors for eight semesters
