    Este artículo reconstruye dos momentos fundamentales de la historia del cabaret travesti y el teatro de revistas en Brasil y Argentina en la década de 1970, y muestra los cruces e intercambios entre ambos. Con este objetivo, se analiza el surgimiento en Brasil del grupo Les Girls y su llegada a la Argentina. Además, se analiza el impacto de estos espectáculos en la prensa popular, tanto brasileña como argentina, y se examinan, a su vez, los modos de representación discursiva y el tipo de figuraciones que envuelven a estos shows en ambos países, reflexionando, al mismo tiempo, sobre la operación archivística de los medios de comunicación. Como objetivo secundario, este artículo pretende circunscribir el cabaret travesti como objeto de estudio, como género escénico, como arte y como escena cultural situada en un período específico.

    This article reconstructs two key moments in the history of travesti cabaret and revue theater in Brazil and Argentina during the 1970s, highlighting the intersections and exchanges between the two. To this end, it examines the emergence of the group Les Girls in Brazil and their arrival in Argentina. The article also analyzes the impact of these performances on the popular press in both Brazil and Argentina, while reflecting on the modes of discursive representation and the types of figurations that surround these shows in each country. At the same time, it considers the archival role played by the media. As a secondary objective, the article seeks to define travesti cabaret as an object of study, as a stage genre, as an art form, and as a cultural scene situated within a specific historical period.
