    • Introduction: cardiopulmonary resuscitation is a vital life-saving intervention for emergencies like cardiac arrest and respiratory arrest. However, barriers such as inadequate training, lack of equipment, and emotional stress can hinder its timely and effective implementation. Objective: To identify barriers to high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation from the perspectives of emergency nurses in a resource-limited Palestinian settingMethod: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted in the emergency departments of governmental and non-governmental hospitals in Hebron, Palestine, from January 1 to February 20, 2024. A total of 83 nurses were recruited through convenience sampling and completed a self-reported structured questionnaire.Result: The results revealed that 92.8 % of nurses identified unfamiliarity with emergency trolleys as a barrier to cardiopulmonary resuscitation, with equipment failure (89.2%) and lack of teamwork (88%) following closely. The presence of a leader was seen as a crucial facilitator (86.7%). Significant associations were noted between demographic factors and perceptions regarding the factors influencing CPR quality. Conclusion: This study identifies critical factors impacting cardiopulmonary resuscitation from the perspective of emergency department nurses, including barriers such as unfamiliarity with emergency trolleys and equipment failures, while highlighting that a leader's presence improves effectiveness. These findings can guide targeted interventions to enhance CPR practices and patient outcomes in Palestinian healthcare. Additional research is necessary to explore variations in perceptions among emergency nurses.
